Not Just Hanging out…

How much can you trust your imagination, when you’re looking at a piece of clothes just hanging… How do you coordinate it with what you already have in your closet? What colors goes with this piece? or, how do you style it so that it speaks who you are?

So TEAMLAB came up with this super interactive HANGERS that will help you visualize and expand the possibility of the piece of clothes you pick up…literally.

そこで、TEAMLABが提案したのは、あなたがピックアップしたその服に対するイマジネーションや可能性を可視化することで、ショッピングの良い手助けをしてくれるインタラクティブなハンガー。

WTF? Yes, Let me explain.

は？なにそれ？って？

So, this is how it works.

つまり、こういう事です。

Let’s say you just entered a shop in Tokyo.

ちょっと、お洋服でも見てみようかな〜とお店に入ったとします。

and you’re like, “how in the world would you wear this yellow leopard cardigan?” So, you pick up the piece from the rail.

たとえば、「こんなド派手なイエローのヒョウ柄カーディガンなんて、一体どうやって着ればいいの？」って思って、ラックからそのカーディガンを持ちあげる、

As soon as you pick up the hanger, a cool chick with that yellow leopard cardigan shows up on the big screen, show you how to “work it,” dancing to the music.

あなたが服を持ち上げた瞬間に、大きなスクリーンに現れた「かわいコちゃん」があのイエローのヒョウ柄カーディガン「こうやって着てみれば〜？」みたいな感じで素敵なスタイリングで気だるいダンスで披露する。

Small monitors works the same way too.

小さいモニターでも、同じようにわかりやすい。

It just gives you much better idea!! In a way, it works better than the fitting room mirrow, because it gives you an objective view of the product.
動画で着ているところを見ると、本当にわかりやすいね！！試着室で自分が着るのと違って、ちょっと遠ざかって客観的に見れるっていうのは、新しい。

Tokyo is so great. TEAMLAB seems like they always come up with great ideas and visualize it in a super stylish way.

東京って本当にすごいなって思う。TEAMLABって人たちは、すごいアイディアをものすごくスタイリッシュに現実化する人たちだね。とても興味あるなー。
